New Life Resource Center
…………………….is a pregnancy AND family center. We often begin with pregnancy and provide medical and mentoring support during that time- but then we walk with families as long as we are needed! New Life supports families through a strength-based approach and reaches into the community to support the needs of the whole family- couples, single parents, kiddos, and all caregivers.
All families go through challenging times. New Life Resource Center was created to stand in the gap for local families in need of support. All services are provided free of charge to all families in our area.
Our Story
It all begins with Faith…
In 2007 the Northwoods New Life Pregnancy Center opened its doors as the only pregnancy resource center in Hayward, serving women and families facing unplanned pregnancies. At that time options for those with unplanned pregnancies were limited in this region. Today we operate as the New Life Resource Center and we are still the only pregnancy center in Sawyer County but we provide life-affirming services to families ( moms, dads & grandparents) beyond the decisions to be made when facing an unplanned pregnancy.
In 2015, we moved to our Hwy 27 North office, expanding our square footage so we could have appropriate space for our growing clientele and growing services. Although our name has changed, our primary mission has always been the same: to empower women to choose life and support the child they are carrying and we empower women and men both to support the family they create.
We are a faith-based, nonprofit center serving women, men, and families in Sawyer County and the surrounding area by providing free pregnancy-related services and life-affirming pregnancy choices. Our Nurse Manager and team of nurses are trained in performing Limited Obstetrics Ultrasounds. We provide free pregnancy testing, STI testing, counseling, and parental educational instruction through trained volunteers known as side-by-sides along with cutting edge online programs.
We don’t abandon parents after they choose life, either. We walk them toward empowerment, working with them to thrive and not just survive. Women and men are strong, capable, and resilient when given the tools to build a life and a legacy for their children, and our families are living proof. We are excited to start sharing some of their stories with you very soon!
Additional volunteers serve by: providing leadership on our Board of Directors, office support/clerical assistance, donation sorting, fundraising or client event coordination & support, and much more!
Our services have always been entirely free to clients, thanks to the generosity of our donors and faithful volunteers. Our greatest joy is when a mother/ dad returns to let us meet their new baby and we walk with the family as they begin life as parents.
Loving Life from the Inside Out
It is no secret that New Life Resource Center loves life. We believe that all people have intrinsic value, regardless of how old they are, what they believe, where they were born, or where they are currently living. We believe that people are amazing, and that they deserve respect and love.
We believe that women are often devalued and this is tragic. We believe that children are often devalued and this is tragic as well. We believe that those who have been dis-empowered need to be re-empowered so that they can live beautiful lives. It is often the most vulnerable in our society who are mistreated.
We have heard that some people disagree with us about our beliefs. We respect their right to do so. We have heard that some people think we misinform the individuals who come to our center for help; of course this isn’t true. We deeply care about the people who come to our center, and it would be cruel to misinform them.
We always try to keep up with the latest and most precise information and materials. Our board certified medical team is comprised of four fully trained and Wisconsin licensed nurses & a Neonatal -Maternal Uutraound Technologist- supervised by our Medical Director who is a Wisconsin licensed Ob-Gyn. We encourage those who see us to research the Internet and get all the facts they can from any place they can find them. We believe, without hesitation, that women have a right to know everything about the choices they are making—decisions they are empowered to make that will affect their lives.
In many states, women have the legal right to seek and obtain an abortion. Women have the right to make moral choices about their own lives. At New Life Resource Center we fully understand this and believe this makes it imperative that women also be given the right to all the available information regarding the impact that their decisions will have. Not to do so would be condescending and manipulative.
If a client of our center obtains an abortion, we love her. If she carries-to-term, we love her. If she releases the child in an adoption, we love her. If she grieves after her abortion, with zero judgment, we will mourn with her. If she is in need during parenting, we will care for her. If she struggles after the adoption, we will support her. We operate with the love of Christ.

Our Mission
The mission of the New Life Resource Center is to affirm the value of life by providing the spiritual, educational, and emotional support needed for those affected by pregnancy or related life issues in a safe, respectful, confidential and professional manner consistent with the claims and teaching of Jesus Christ. In all interactions, our mission is to support the development of Godly character in those we serve by our example, educational programs, coaching support and Christian community.
